ERW (Education through Regional Working / Ein Rhanbarth ar Waith)  is one of the four regional educational consortia in Wales. It  is an alliance of six local authorities delivering school improvement services : Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Powys, the County Borough of Neath Port Talbot and the City and County of Swansea. ERW has a clear mission of actively working together to improve teaching and learning to secure the best outcomes for all learners.

ERW collaborates with external partners to offer professional development that enables teachers to provide wide-ranging enrichment and experience within and outside of the classroom. It is committed to national initiatives such as the Lead Creative Schools Scheme, which has greatly enhanced learning for our young people through culture and the arts. ERW also supports and implements the Welsh Government Global Futures plan, which aims to improve and promote language learning and internationalism in our schools. With increasing focus on a creative new curriculum for Wales, these innovative projects provide opportunities for our learners to prepare themselves  for the challenges of the twenty first century.
