Pan ddoi di draw i Gymru, byddi di’n fy ngweld

Pan ddoi di draw i Gymru, byddi di’n f y ngweld

Pan ddoi di draw i’n t ŷ ni

Bydd hynny’n hwyl.

One day when you come over, you will see me

One day when you come over, you will see me

And when you come to our house,

That will be fun.

Un día cuando vengas a Gales me verás

Un día cuando vengas a Gales me verás

Un día en mi casa

¡Fenomenal

Objective: The learner will hold a conversation with someone in Wales using a complex phrase.

This song has three verses; one in each language but using the same melody.

Another song, 'Cuando Vaya A Patagonia' can be learned in order to provide the other half of this conversation. It uses a different melody.

What you need to do:

Start by listening to the lyrics. When learners are confident, learn one language at a time, using the full version to sing along with and the instrumental version for when you want to test them!

Extension:

Ask learners to make lists of what else they might like to do if they were a visitor to Wales – use the Me vocab section to make new sentences.

Learners can try and make the longest sentence they can by putting several phrases together.
